DIFFERENT VARIETIES OF MASSAGE
SWEDISH MASSAGE

Uses a system of long strokes, kneading and friction techniques on the outer layers of the muscles. Used primarily for full body session. Promotes general relaxation, improves circulation and range of motion, and relieves muscle tension.

DEEP TISSUE
Releases the chronic patterns of tension in the body through slow strokes and deep finger pressure on the contracted areas, either by following or going across the grain of muscles, tendons, and fascia. It focuses on the deeper layers of muscle tissue.

REFLEXOLOGY
Involves manipulation of specific reflex areas in the foot, hands, and ears that correspond to the various system, glands, and organs.
  Highly effective and very relaxing.

MYOFASCIAL RELEASE
Sustained pressure and movement is applied into the system of connective tissue surrounding the muscles in order to eliminate restrictions.

HOT STONE MASSAGE
Using therapeutic heated, smooth basalt stones, the physical body is put into a deep relaxed state. This treatment is most effective in bringing balance back into your life. Great for relaxing tense muscles.

RUSSIAN MASSAGE
Russian massage integrates sport massage with the relaxing techniques of therapeutic massage. The Russian massage may offer relief for those suffering from an injury, have an illness, or just want to promote general well-being.

The massage has many benefits; some of these include: increased blood and lymphatic flow, promotes healing of acute injuries, therapeutic effects and treatment of chronic medical conditions and an overall state of relaxation. The application of techniques will differ from person to person and the depth of the pressure ranges, in four levels, from light, medium, to deep. No oils or lotions are used.

SPORTS MASSAGE
Sports massage is a special form of massage and is typically used before, during, and after athletic events. The purpose of the massage is to prepare the athlete for peak performance , to drain away fatigue, to relieve swelling, to reduce muscle tension, to promote flexibility and to prevent injuries. The main purpose of sports massage therapy is to alleviate the stress and tension which builds up in the body’s soft tissues during physical activity.

NEUROMUSCULAR THERAPY/TRIGGER POINT
Locating certain points on the body by applying pressure to those areas for the relief and control of chronically tight muscles.

ORTHOPEDIC MASSAGE
Orthopedic massage therapy is a form of massage that combines techniques of several different massage techniques—including both medical and sports forms. Orthopedic massage is used on a patient/client when they have soft tissue pain or have injuries in order to help relieve the pain during injury, as well as to promote faster healing.
Benefits include:

increased blood circulation, decreased pain, relaxation, realigns tissues, reduces tension, enhanced performance, releases adhesions, strengthening.
